Is my money safe?
Your payments go into your own Stripe account, in your name, and then to your bank. Crato never holds your money, so there's no balance for us to freeze or delay.
When do I get paid?
Straight into your bank, on the usual payout schedule. The account the money passes through is in your name, we use Stripe for it, and it is yours, not ours, so there is no Crato queue to sit in and nothing to chase.
What does it cost?
Free to start, with no card. We take 5% of a sale on the free plan, or 0% on Pro at $19 a month. Card processing costs a bit on top, that part is Stripe's, and it is the same wherever you sell.
Can I leave and take my work with me?
Yes. Your buyers, your files and the account your money passes through are all yours. Export the list, download the files, and keep selling somewhere else if you ever want to.

Who's behind Crato?

Does Crato work in my country?
Crato works anywhere Stripe can pay you out, because your money goes through your own Stripe account. Check Stripe's list of supported countries before you sign up.
Can I sell merch?
Yes. Add your design and Crato handles print-on-demand merch like tees, hoodies, mugs and totes. Each order is printed and shipped for you, so you never hold inventory. You connect a free Printful account once, and they print and ship each order.
I have followers but nothing to sell yet. Where do I start?
With the smallest thing you already know. One guide, one checklist, one call, priced low, out this week. Describe it in a sentence and there is a listing written for you to edit, so the first version takes an evening rather than a month. You can add the bigger thing once somebody has paid you for the small one.
Who handles refunds and disputes?
You do, from your own payments dashboard, because the sale is between you and your buyer. We give you the buttons and the records. If something on our side breaks, that one is ours to fix.
Will my link work on TikTok and Instagram?
Your store is an ordinary web link, with no redirect chains or tracking scripts that get pages flagged. If a platform ever blocks a link, tell us and it becomes the thing we fix that day.
Do my buyers need an account?
Not to buy. They enter an email at checkout and get what they bought straight away, and that purchase creates their account. Later they sign in with a code, no password, and find everything they have ever bought on Crato in one place.
Is there anything I cannot sell?
Whatever Stripe allows, since it is Stripe that processes the card. A few categories are restricted by them rather than by us, so it is worth checking their list if your work sits near the line.
What if I stop paying for Pro?
Your store stays open and your buyers keep everything they bought. You move back to the free plan, where we take 5% of a sale again. Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage.
